Staff, students and parents at Boroughbridge High School are beaming with pride after another year of very good A Level results. Students achieved a 100% pass rate in the vast majority of subjects offered, including Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Arts, Languages and Humanities subjects.
Over 50% of students achieved high grades in a number of subjects including Geography, Product Design, French, Spanish, Fine Art, Physics and Chemistry. The top grade of A*was achieved in English Literature and A grades were also awarded in Maths, Physics and Spanish.
There are many individual success stories who have successfully obtained the grades needed to progress onto university.
Headteacher Kathryn Stephenson said “We are very proud of the efforts and achievements of our students. It’s so rewarding to see students gain university places and employment of their choice. The results also reflect the continued support of families, staff and school governors.
The class of 2018 looks like it will be producing the scientists, architects and lawyers of the future and we look forward to welcoming them back to visit and inspire our current students. “
Assistant Head and Head of Sixth Form, Andy Kennedy added “I am delighted that so many of our young people have achieved such a great set of results.”
